Matthew Hall

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Matthew Hall (not to be confused with the British screenwriter Matthew R V Hall) is a former Canadian national figure skating team member and one of the first elite level athletes to come out as gay while still competing.

Hall won the bronze medal in the 1989 Canada Games. He came out in 1992,[1] reportedly to fellow skater Brian Orser.[citation needed] Although he never competed at the Olympics, he competed in the 1994 Gay Games and was a level 5 champion.[citation needed]
