Matthew Cutler

Matthew David Cutler (born October 30, 1973) is a successful English dancer. Born in Chelmsford, Essex, United Kingdom, he started dancing at the age of eight. He attended Cecil Jones High School (now, Cecil Jones College - Specialising in Business & Enterprise) in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. He won Open British Juvenile, Junior and Youth, and together with Nicole Cutler, he is undefeated World, European, Open British, International and UK Open Amateur Latin American Champion. They danced together for ten years, from 1994 to 2004. They were also married, but divorced in 2003. In 2004/2005 Cutler partnered Charlotte Egstrand and was successful in a number of competitions, including winning four individual dances at the British Nationals in November 2004.

Cutler took part in BBC1's original Come Dancing in 1992-1995, and was part of the British Team that won the 1996 series international Come Dancing. Also, he's taken part in series three and four of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. In series three actress Siobhan Hayes and he were the first to be voted out, but in series four, he was brought back to dance partner Carol Smillie. They were the ninth to be voted off.
