Matthew James Willis (born 8 May 1983) is a British singer-songwriter from Tooting, south London.

[edit] Membership of Busted
Matt was the oldest member of the British pop group Busted, alongside Charlie Simpson and James Bourne. He co-wrote several of their hits such as "What I Go To School For" and "Sleeping With The Light On". The band, however, has since split up.
He has publicly spoken recently about the alleged Busted feuds that unfolded in their final months as a band, labelling Charlie "a bastard" although reports the feud have been highly exaggerated. Matt also checked into alcohol rehabilitation to kick a drinking problem he had been suffering at the start of last year after Busted split[citation needed]. He later claimed that his problem was not as bad as he originally thought and he walked out after two weeks, claiming it was 'boring'. He was picked up from The Priory by his girlfriend, MTV presenter Emma Griffiths.
Busted having disbanded, Matt is embarking on a solo career and has written some tracks which he describes as pop/punk. His favourite bands include Blink-182, Van Halen, Madness, Green Day, Foo Fighters, The Clash Imogen Heap and The Sex Pistols.
Willis's debut performance as a solo star was at Northumbria University in Newcastle on March 20, 2006 as part of the MTV Spanking New Music Week.

In December 2006 on ITV, Matt was crowned 'King of the Jungle' being the winning contestant on I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here! despite going into the final day as the 8-1 underdog against Myleene Klass and Jason Donovan. Weighing 13 stone 2 lbs upon entering, he discovered that he had lost a stone after being weighed again in the jungle.
In order to enter the jungle, Matt was required to bungee jump from a plane. During his stay, in a compulsory bushtucker trial, Matt ate a kangaroo anus, crocodile penis, crocodile eye, witchetty grub, and some mealworms to earn a cooked, luxury meal for himself and the other celebrities.
