Matt Tuiasosopo (born May 10, 1986 in Bellevue, WA) is a shortstop in the Seattle Mariners minor league system. He is the brother of Marques Tuiasosopo and Zach Tuiasosopo, and the son of Manu Tuiasosopo.
Although his father and brothers play(ed) football -- Manu attending UCLA and his two older brothers attending the University of Washington -- Matt opted to sign a professional baseball contract. He was drafted 93rd overall in the third round in the 2004 Major League Baseball draft by the Seattle Mariners. He has spent his first two seasons (2005-2006) of professional baseball in the minor leagues.

In 2005 he was with Seattle's Low-A affiliate, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. He hit .276/.217/.214 with three home runs and 45 RBI. He was ranked #36 on Minor League News' annual FAB 50.
In 2006, he split time between their High-A Inland Empire 66ers and Class AA San Antonio Missions affiliates. He batted a combined .248/.310/.301 with two home runs and 44 RBI. He is playing with the Peoria Javelinas of the Arizona Fall League this fall.
