    Matt Roney (born on January 10, 1980 in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is a pitcher in Major League Baseball for the Toronto Blue Jays of the American League. He was drafted in 1998 bay the Colorado Rockies. In 2002 he was selected in the Rule 5 draft by the Pittsburg Pirates and then purchased from the Pirates by the Detroit Tigers.

    He played for the Oakland Athletics in 2006 but spent much of that time in the minors. He signed with the Toronto Blue Jays later in 2006.
