Matt Norman

Norman is the nephew of 1968 Olympic 200m Silver Medalist Peter Norman. Since 2003 Norman has been making a film called "Salute - The Peter Norman Story". On Tuesday 3rd of October 2006 while Matt and Peter were planning a trip to the United States to promote the almost completed film, Peter Norman died suddenly of a heart attack. At Peter's funeral Matt was amongst Peter's historic and well known friends Tommie Smith and John Carlos as one of Peter's pallbearers. "The moment that Tommie Smith and John Carlos walked out the front door, leading the pallbearers, of the Town Hall into the glaze of media was a special moment," Matt said. "Peter could finally share another moment in History with his friends and family".
The film "Salute - The Peter Norman Story will be released in February 2007.
