Matthew "Matt" Morgan (born September 10, 1978 in Fairfield, Connecticut) is an American professional wrestler, who made a name for himself in World Wrestling Entertainment and its farm federation Ohio Valley Wrestling.

[edit] Career

Matt Morgan was first introduced to WWF as part of its Tough Enough II program but left the show early due to injury. In April 2002, Morgan signed a developmental deal with World Wrestling Entertainment and was assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling, where he wrestled as "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan. He made his WWE debut on the October 30, 2003 episode of SmackDown!, and was picked by then GM of SmackDown!, Paul Heyman, to join Team Lesnar (Morgan, Brock Lesnar, Big Show, A-Train and Nathan Jones) who would face off against Team Angle in a Ten Man Elimination Tag match at Survivor Series 2003 in which Morgan was eliminated by Kurt Angle after an Angle Slam.

After this small push he was sent back the OVW for further development and experience, wrestling again as "The Blueprint" Matt Morgan, and there became the OVW Champion once again.

Matt Morgan made his re-debut to WWE on April 21, 2005, with a new gimmick of a stuttering big-man who is defensive over his speech disorder and allied himself with Carlito Caribbean Cool to become Carlito's "backup", helping Carlito defeat The Big Show at WWE Judgment Day. This partnership ended when Carlito was drafted to RAW and subsequently Morgan was released by WWE on July 5, 2005.

Matt Morgan toured with New Japan Pro Wrestling in late 2005, defeating Yuji Nagata in his debut match. He was being pushed as a "monster gaijin" and along with Brock Lesnar, was expected to become one of NJPW's top foreign wrestlers, but plans for this were abandoned when Matt Morgan decided to leave NJPW to go to All Japan Pro Wrestling, as a member of Taka Michinoku's foreigner-oriented RO&D faction. He and Mark Jindrak have also started wrestling for HUSTLE as a tag team under the names of Sodom and Gomorrah. The two form the biggest tag-team in Japan, with Morgan standing at 6 ft 10 in and 340 lb and Jindrak at 6 ft 6 in 250 lb. Matt Morgan has also started work with NWE, a wrestling company in Italy. He wrestles under his own name, and has been pushed as the "Giant" of this promotion ran by Rikishi.

On November 12, 2006, Morgan made his debut with Far North Wrestling, a small promotion in western Pennsylvania. He won the FNW Heavyweight Championship is his first match, pinning Calvin McGrath.
