Matt Lukin
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Matt Lukin was a founding member and bassist for The Melvins. When The Melvins relocated to San Francisco, California in 1988 he stayed in Washington to form the band Mudhoney. Lukin left Mudhoney in June 1999. He briefly rejoined Mudhoney from December 2000 to January 2001 for a short tour. Matt Lukin is featured in a home video shot on Krist Novoselic's Super 8 camera -- the video includes Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic and others (Matt Lukin included).
The song "Lukin" by Pearl Jam was named after Matt Lukin.
Matt married a beautiful dutch woman, Manon, whom he met in the Tivoli Club in Utrecht, The Netherlands. They have been together in Seattle ever since. Pearl Jam lead singer Eddie Vedder stated this before dedicating "Lukin" to the couple during Pearl Jam's performance on 29 August 2006 in De Gelredome, Arnhem. What he said can be heard on the Pearl Jam official bootleg of that same date on the song "Lukin."
