Matthew Mackendree Lanter (born April 1, 1983) is an American actor, best known for his role as Horace Calloway in the ABC television drama Commander in Chief.

Born in northeastern Ohio, he moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1991. He played baseball, football and golf and was a batboy for the Atlanta Braves.
Matt first gained Hollywood's attention when he was selected as a competitor in the 2004 reality television series Manhunt, hosted by former Baywatch star Carmen Electra. The show "found" men on the streets of New York and pitted them against each other in a series of modelling events. Although he did not win the competition, he did succeed in making the show's top 10.
