Matthew Harrold (b. 25th July 1984) is an English footballer playing for the Championship side Southend United. Harrold has had numerous previous clubs including Brentford FC, Yeovil Town as well as loan spells at Grimsby Town and Dagenham and Redbridge.

He was initially a product of Southend United's youth set-up, however departed for non-league Harlow. He moved his way back to the Shrimpers via Brentford FC and Yeovil Town after a long-running summer transfer saga which ended with him being signed an hour before the transfer deadline on August 31st 2006.

He is a tall, pacy target man who is adept at holding up the ball and scored his first goal for the Shrimpers against West Brom on 16 September 2006
