Matt Hamshaw

Matt Hamshaw (born 1 January 1982 in Rotherham) is an English footballer, who currently plays for Mansfield Town. He usually plays on the right side of midfield.

Hamshaw, a former England Youth and Under-20 international, began his career at Sheffield Wednesday. He made his first-team debut for the Owls in August 2000, and played 88 matches for the team, scoring six goals. He was released at the end of the 2004-05 season, and subsequently joined Stockport County, where he played 44 first-team games, and scored five goals. After one season at Stockport, Hamshaw signed a two-year contract with Mansfield Town on 29 June 2006.He has scored 2 goals this season.
