From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Following in his father Jimmy Garrison's footsteps, Matt Garrison has also established himself as a bassist of note.
His distinctive techniques and his signiture Fodera bass help make him an easily identifiable figure in the world of modern electric bass virtuosos. Although he may not share the fame of players such as Victor Wooten or Marcus Miller, he is still one of the most influential players in modern times.
He has worked with notable names such as Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Joe Zawinul, and Joni Mitchell.
He received a full-ride scholarship and graduated from the Berklee College of Music.
