Matsumoto, Kagoshima

Matsumoto (松元町; -chō) was a town located in Hioki District, Kagoshima, Japan. On November 1, 2004, the town merged with the town of Koriyama into the expanded city of Kagoshima and no longer exists as an independent municipality.

As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 12,408 and the density of 243.06 persons per km². The total area was 51.05 km².
