Mato, Sarawak

Matu(correct spelling, not Mato as mention) is a district and small town in Mukah Division, Sarawak, east Malaysia. Before Mukah Division was establish, Matu is under Sibu Division. There are more than 20 villages in the district, with Melanau making up the majority of the population. Chinese were the second biggest population after the Melanau. The population were estimate around 10,000. The Majlis Daerah Matu-Daro (Matu-Daro District Counsil) were located in Matu which is the landmarks and biggest building in Matu.
