Matnakash

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Matnakash (Armenian: Մատնաքաշ) is a traditional Armenian bread. It is usually soft and puffy. The word matnakash literally means finger draw, referring to the way the bread is prepared. Matnakash, along with lavash, a thinner Armenian bread, can be purchased from numerous bakeries in Armenia as well as places populated by the Armenian diaspora.
