Mate Bulić
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mate Bulić is a Herzegovinian Croat pop/folk singer.
Bulić comes from Herzegovina, and many of his songs are influenced by the region. Several elements of traditional Croatian music are incorporated into Bulić's, such as the use of the lijerica and the singing of ganga.
His music appeals less to the mainstream, urban audience, because some of the lyrics are chauvinistic and sexist, and the music reminds somewhat of turbo folk.
Many of Bulić's recent songs are written by Marko Perković, of Thompson fame.
