[edit] RfA
[edit] Hi I'm newHello I'm new to wikipedia. I like your user page. The League of Crazy Men 16:22, 1 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] RecommendationHave you heard about Wikiproject Alternative Music? I feel you should join you would help a huge amount. Kingfisherswift 16:39, 1 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] RE:SandboxI know, I know. Boy, this is so embarrassing... I apologized to him/her on their talk page already. You see, I reduce the Article Name section in VandalProof recent changes, or at least used to until now. So when I saw an edit made by a user on my black list (I just put him there, and who knew - this one actually did use the sandbox...) in an article marked "Wikipedia..." I didn't think twice (happens to me often). I hope the guy doesn't start vandalising because of this. --Chodorkovskiy (talk) 17:31, 1 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] RE: VandalismIm sorry but I did not vandalise that page at all I think you have it mistaken. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.45.92.85 (talk • contribs) .
[edit] Re: A RequestPlease check your e-mail. :) Cheers, Sango123 (e) 01:35, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] MonobookTwo things. One, the RC script already has popupsdev. Hopefully, you didn't add a line for popups since its included in the script. Second, press cntrl-F5 and you should see more tabs :). Also, rollback is now faster.Voice-of-AllT|@|ESP 01:50, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Concerning my "vandalism"...Bud, I didn't 'vandalise' anything. Freakofnature has a page dedicated to vandalizing, and I took advantage of that. It says specifically, "vandalise here". --69.145.122.209 02:31, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: UserboxenThanks for the pointer, I will look into that tommorrow, after I get some sleep!--digital_me(Talk)(Contribs) 03:49, 2 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] RE:Your comments on my RFAWell, I did go nuts for a while; I've created about 3 articles (not FA or anything, but still :P); Vibroweapons, Character Builds in the Guild Wars Universe (helped create it), Equipment in the Guild Wars Universe, a lot of stuff to Guild Wars itself, and User:Master of Puppets/Ships in Homeworld 2. So I think if I keep trying, I'll pass next time. Anyway, thanks for the comments! :) Oh, and this isn't intended you pressure you into changing your vote; its your vote, I'm not gonna meddle with it. Just some people get the idea that I'm "bullying" them. _-M o P-_ 21:37, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: DaGizza's userpageAlright, blue/green/teal would be fine in a similar style to Bananagirl's. For dividing my page into sections, I think a good way would be userboxes, my to-do list, my contibutions at Wiki and leave the rest as miscellaneous for the moment! GizzaChat © 11:10, 2 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Image:MusicInWrestling.jpgHi Master of Puppets - just wondering where you got the source file for Image:MusicInWrestling.jpg. If the source file is a copyrighted image, then you can't release the derivative file into the public domain. See Wikipedia:Image use policy for more information. Happy editing! --Jtalledo (talk) 18:43, 2 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] No Problem
[edit] TrollThanks for warning the guy from my talk page; sadly, you've wasted your breath. He's a disgruntled troll who was stirring up trouble in the #wikimedia channel, and I kickbanned him from it. Having set the IP ban on him in the channel, I happen to know he was connected via AOL, and universities don't use AOL. He should really try to have his story straight before he speaks; it's not a good idea to try lying about being senior faculty at a university to someone (like me) who *is* senior faculty at a university. Essjay (Talk • Connect) 04:40, 3 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Your personal attackI see your fellow administrator has continued the name calling and personal attacks against me on your use page. Thank you. Our purpose was to demonstrate that Wikipedia administrators use personal attacks as a standard tool of their trade. If you plan to communicate with me you will need to start by listening and internalizing what I've said. I'm not inclined to talk with people who tell me what to say and how to say it. I'm also not inclined to converse with people who attempt to impose on me their ideological values. Neutrality is a philosophy related to content of articles. Even considering your demand for my neutrality, I stated facts which are pretty darn neutral. Senior staff in one department of a major university witnessed in about 20 minutes time a mob attack in the IRC channel that silenced discussion of typical editorial concerns. You have expanded the attack by appearing here to tell me your demands comprise an attempt to mediate a conflict about which you know nothing. Why Do You Hate ? 04:45, 3 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Congratulations on your RfAI know it has not closed yet, but I know you are gonna win, so: Congratulations on your RfA!! The only way that you could lose (if the beaurocrat's choice is based on the votes) is if they come up with 34 oppose votes in only a few hours. Again, CONGRATULATIONS!! --GeorgeMoneyTalk Contribs 05:53, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
Congrats, have some cake.(Sorry, I ate the rest. Call me a patron of the culinary arts.) --D-Day(Wouldn't you like to be a pepper too?) 21:57, 3 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Re: RFAI agree; I did not mean to imply that I was worried about you personally. You seem to have quite a healthy attitude. One final note: I don't know if I'm misunderstanding, but at the top of your talk page you have a notice "Guidelines (PLEASE READ)" but there aren't any guidelines mentioned. (Is this your way of saying you have no rules governing your talk page?) Below it there is just a box that asking users to click for archived discussions, but when I click it nothing happens. Just thought you might want to know. Thanks. — Knowledge Seeker দ 06:25, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] IncivilityFurther incivility by Adam Carr on Cuba talk page despite mulitple warnings; "what is one to do when confronted by fools like ScottGrayban or hypocritical, devious Castro apologists like Bruce? (Yes Bruce, I am being uncivil - so sue me)--Zleitzen 14:54, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your sigYou might want to subst that {{CURRENTDATE}}, as it currently actually shows the current date, not the date you signed. ;-) --Rory096 21:22, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Esalen Institute articleHello, Master of Puppets. CKA3KA, here. I have been considering nominating the Esalen Institute article for deletion, but since I've never done such a thing, I'd very much appreciate your input. Could you do me the favor of looking at my comments on that article's talk page and weighing in with your opinion on the issue? —CKA3KA (Skazka) 21:34, 3 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] HEY!You haven't lost yet. ILovEPlankton 21:55, 3 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Re: I find your lack of faith... disturbingIt's not a lack of faith, MoP. Just different users like to see different things in an admin candidate. I have absolutely nothing against you and I love you like a brother. Please don't be disturbed. - CrazyRussian talk/contribs/email 22:03, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your RfAHey there! Too bad you didn't make it. But frankly, when I saw your RfA added, it struck me as "too premature to succeed". And most of the oppose votes seem to prove that. Keep up the great work and I'm pretty sure that in like 2 months it'll be a success. Cheers! Misza13 T C 22:07, 3 May 2006 (UTC) Sorry to see that it didn't pass - nice job anyway though, you have lots of support, and will surely get it next time. :) -- Natalya 22:20, 3 May 2006 (UTC) Yeah...your support rate was almost 75%, which is about as good as a Rfa gets when it doesn't work. I suspect your high edits for the user namespace have to do with the status changer in your monobook, as it adds an edit to your contribs every time you put "online," "offline," or "busy." I'm sure another Rfa a few weeks or months from now will yield a better turnout.--The ikiroid (talk)(Help Me Improve) 22:32, 3 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] RfAA hint about adminship . . . I noticed a lot of people voted against you because they thought your signature wasn't good. My god, what sort of reason is that! However, I would recommend changing your signature a couple days before you try again. You could use: and then revert to your current sig after you became an admin. Sorry you didn't make it. --Primate#101 22:44, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] My condolences

[edit] Your HeaderOn your userpage header, you used the template {{titled-click}}. When you put the icons in your header, you forgot a parameter. You have all the parameters, except for "title" (The title is what it shows when you hover the mouse over it.) So, currently, you have {{titled-click|link=User:Master of Puppets|image=Nuvola apps kfm home.png|width=50px|height=50px}}, when you should have{{titled-click|link=User:Master of Puppets|image=Nuvola apps kfm home.png|width=50px|height=50px|title=whatever title you want}}. Oh and thanks for working on my requested image. --GeorgeMoneyTalk Contribs 06:13, 3 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] You're very welcomei hope that does become a reality, enjoy! brainybassist [edit] Vandalism: Part 2Ehat are you talking about Im am not makeing an edits I have been on since may 1. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.45.92.85 (talk • contribs) 00:53, May 4, 2006. [edit] Helen KellerI noticed that I did it wrong when I was looking at my history. You got to it first. Thanks. Sifaka talk 00:34, 4 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] You're welcome!Hi MoP, I'm really sorry your RfA didn't succeed this time - but it was close! I know that soon you'll be able to show that you're well suited to the mop. (I love that phrase!) Thanks for your nice note on my talk page. ConDemTalk 02:20, 4 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] reverting vandalsPlease be careful when reverting vandals using popups. Some pages are heavily vandalized and there happen several anon vandals stack in the history. Therefore ALWAYS check the previous history, not just last edit. `'mikka (t) 03:13, 4 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WarningsHi there, I noticed you were reverting in a frenzy earlier, but you unfortunately forgot to warn some of the vandals. The key part to fighting vandalism is warning the offenders, as if they don't see any opposition, they'll keep doing it. Thanks, MoppEr zOMG! 23:01, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

Sign me up! Your page is quite nicely done, so I have faith that you'll do a fine job with mine. Now if only I could get someone to renovate my kitchen for free... [edit] Your sigWhat happened to your sig? You totally ruined it. I liked the old one better. --GeorgeMoneyTalk Contribs 00:38, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] QuestionHi, MoP. It's me, Evan. Sorry you didn't become admin. You're one of the most valuable non-admin Wikipedians I know of. I was wondering when you are going to run again. Also, I've been wondering what Wikipedians look for when voting for/against users running for adminship. Ever since I created my account, I wanted to become admin. Of course, I don't plan on running anytime soon (:P.) I'll probably run in 2007 or maybe December 2006. Thanks! --Evan Robidoux 00:50, 5 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] IRCget back on IRC I need to talk to you. ILovEPlankton 00:52, 5 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] Re: I find your lack of faith... disturbing.
[edit] User:Master of Puppets/EAHey, I fixed your Esperanza page to reflect your new signature. [1] Hope you don't mind. See you soon on IRC. :o) EWS23 | (Leave me a message!) 18:45, 5 May 2006 (UTC) [edit] HiYou are welcome. Don't become discouraged. You can work on it and make it the next time.
