[edit] Alpha Phi Alpha

You recently changed this article to indicate that there are 900+ chapter of the fraternity. This link, Hartford Alphas, and other cites indicate there are 700+ chapters. Can you provide reputable and verifiable sourced data of the 900+ figure to prove the information is factual? Ccson 16:02, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

BTW-if you are an Alpha, please see Category:Wikipedians in Alpha Phi Alpha
The statement in the article is regarding the number of active chapters, not the number that has ever been chartered. See Cornell Pilgrimage, where the second paragraph indicates "more than 700". There is a section in the Centennial Documentary where Skip Mason also stipulates that the current number of chapters is more than 700. Again, all references to the total active count is 700+ and this information would have to have come from the national office.

[edit] Fraternities and sororities

There is an article on fraternities and sororities and it has a section regarding pledging one of the NPHC organization. The info is incorrect and I'm not sure where they obtained this info. can you reveiw the text at Joining a black fraternity; then go to the talk page and provide your knowledge whether this is how NPHC member conduct pledge programs?
