[edit] Help with al-Andalusia

Your post identifies you as an expert in medieval Andalusian thought. I am very interested in medieval al-Andalusian thought, in particular how it compares to both the modern west, and the Renaissance ideas which gave birth to it in the 1400's. Unfortunately, I find radically different POV's in different sources. Ideally, I am looking to answer the question "Could an 'Enlightenment', and thus a different version of the modern world have arisen spontaneously from the ideas and culture of al-Andalus?". Any assistance would be greatly appreciatd. Thanks in Advance.MadMan19 05:10, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
