Master Blasters

The Master Blasters were a professional wrestling tag team in World Championship Wrestling most famous for giving Kevin Nash his start in wrestling.

The Master Blasters were formed in August 1990 in WCW while it was still under the NWA banner with wrestlers Kevin Nash as Steel and Cory Pendarvis as Iron, who was later replaced with Al Green.

The tag team made their debut for World Championship Wrestling at Clash of Champions 12 on September 5, 1990 against Brad Armstrong and Tim Horner. They feuded with them until late October when Green left and was replaced by Blade. They feuded with Steve Armstrong and Tracy Smothers until the team was disbanded in March 1991. Blade disappeared and Nash became "Oz", then "Vinnie Vegas", then "Diesel", the name he became famous under first.

The team was obviously named after the character in Mel Gibson's movie Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. They even had the same look as Master Blaster minus the mask.
