Every four years, Massachusetts holds state-wide elections for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Secretary of the Commonwealth, and Treasurer.

In 1994, William Weld was elected Governor of Massachusetts for a second term. He beat Democrat Mark Roosevelt by a 71-28% margin, the largest Gubernatorial margin of victory in Massachusetts History.

- Paul Cellucci was elected Lieutenant Governor for a second term.
- Shannon O'Brien ran unsuccessfully for Treasurer of Massachusetts.
- William F. Galvin was elected Secretary of the Commonwealth, for the first time.
