Massachusetts United States Senate election, 2006
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 2006 Massachusetts U.S. Senate election took place on November 7, 2006. Ted Kennedy, the incumbent since late 1962, is one of the most prominent liberal statesmen in American politics. As he represents heavily Democratic Massachusetts, it is unlikely he will face a competitive Republican challenger.
The filing deadline for major parties was June 6, 2006. The primary was on September 19, 2006.[1]
