The Twisters are a member club of the American Indoor Soccer League; they are based out of West Springfield, MA and owned by the league's commissioner, Paul LaPointe. The Twister's home field in the The Big E Coliseum. The Twisters are the only remaining charter franchise of the AISL.
The Mass Twisters franchise is also directly affliated with the Junior Twisters, who play in the Massachusetts Advanced Players League.
In preparation for the 2006/2007 season, the Massachusetts Twisters revamped their logo. Plans for the old logo use as part of children's promotions have been discussed.
On September 27th, 2006, the Twisters announced the signing of USL Second Division all-star, Everson Maciel for the 2006/2007. Maciel played with the Western Mass Pioneers during the summer season.
