Masriwood

Masriwood is a term coined by journalist Darah Rateb, to describe the Egyptian entertainment industry, which is considered the Mecca of Middle Eastern entertainment. The word "Masri" comes from colloqiual Egyptian and Classical Arabic, and means Egyptian. "Wood" comes from the cliched terms of Hollywood and Bollywood.
