[edit] History
[edit] Manga
[edit] Tokyo Mew Mew
In the second volume, R2000 is given to Ichigo by Ryou Shirogane. She later renames the robot Masha (Because it sounds like "Masaya", the name of her crush). Masha's vocabulary is very limited in the manga; it speaks only in "pi"s, or "tweet"s.
[edit] Tokyo Mew Mew à la Mode
Masha isn't seen much in the sequel series. In the first volume, it is in England with Ichigo Momomiya.
[edit] Tokyo Black Cat Girl
Masha is in the bonus story included in Tokyo Mew Mew volume 4, Tokyo Black Cat Girl, with Hime Azumi. Masha is very different in this story, as it can talk in complete sentences and appears to be a darker color. Masha in Tokyo Black Cat Girl and Masha in Tokyo Mew Mew are most likely not the same character, but they share some abilities, such as being able to fly/hover and shrink to cellphone mascot size.
[edit] Anime
[edit] Tokyo Mew Mew
Masha appears in episode 1 of Tokyo Mew Mew. R2000 is given to Ichigo by Keiichiro in the second episode of the anime. She renames it Masha shortly after receiving him.
[edit] Mew Mew Power
In Mew Mew Power, R2000 is given to Zoey in the second episode, and she renames the robot Mini Mew right then and there. (She says, "I shall call him, Mini-Mew!" as a reference to Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, in which Dr. Evil said, "I shall call him, Mini-Me!")
[edit] Abilities and Weapons
- Can fly/hover
- Can shrink down to cellphone mascot size
- In the manga, when merged with the Mew Aqua, becomes the Mew Aqua Rod
- In the anime, can spit out the Mews' transformation pendants
- Can alert Ichigo if an alien is present or a comrade is nearby or in danger
- Collects the jellyfish-like things after a Chimera Animal is defeated.
[edit] Voice Actor
- In the anime, its seiyū is Junko Noda, the same person who voices Zakuro Fujiwara.
- In Mew Mew Power, its voice actor is Tom Wayland.
