Masato Tomobe

Masato Tomobe is a Japanese singer and poet. He started songwriting after being inspired by Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone". He has collaborated with Sakamoto Ryuichi, and together they recorded "A Gossipy Crow", among other songs.

He was a friend of Dave Van Ronk and together they recorded "Candyman",a song of Reverend Gary Davis.

He also is known for trying many styles, including poetry reading style and Talking blues.

His most recent song is called "Speak Japanese,American".This is from his experience that he was said "Speak English" from an American when he first visited United States.
