Masami Hirosaka

Masami Hirosaka (Japanese:広坂正美, Hirosaka Masami) of Tokyo, Japan is the world's most successful radio controlled car driver with a record fourteen IFMAR World Championships to his credit and is considered the highest paid drivers in RC racing.

He was first brought in to RC car racing at a young age by his father who was a Yokomo employee. An active participant in radio controlled racing since the age of seven, Hirosaka was introduced to the hobby by his father. One of the most popular draws at major R/C racing events, Hirosaka has earned the nickname "Master Masami," given to him by his peers.

Hirosaka currently races for Yokomo and Associated Electrics where he helps develop new cars with the aid of computers and tests the resulting prototypes.

In a 1998 interview with Germany's KEIL DTM magazine, Hirosaka listed his other hobbies as computers and theater. His father who is now semi-retired, runs a RC car preparation service.
