Masahiro Nakai (中居 正広 Nakai Masahiro?, born August 18, 1972 in Fujisawa, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan) is a member of the Japanese pop idol group SMAP. Known affectionately as Nakai-kun, he is the oldest member and leader of SMAP.

Nakai is the youngest of three brothers. He likes baseball and is a fan of the Yomiuri Giants baseball team. As a child, his dream was to be a professional baseball player. He hosts numerous TV shows throughout the week, including Utaban with Takaaki Ishibashi (from the comedic duo Tunnels). Of the members of SMAP, Nakai has the greatest TV exposure.

Recently, Nakai likes to appear on variety shows wearing beanies; he is known for his collection of many hats and beanies.
