Masaaki Satake is a karate and kickboxing fighter. He is one of the pioneering fighters in K-1, being a member of Kazuyoshi Ishii's Seido-Kaikan school and organization, which many recognize as the prdeceesor of K-1.
He represented the organization in numerous Karate tournaments, winning most of them. After Kazuyoshi Ishii formed K-1, he became an active competitor there, with numerous victories.
He also participated in eight Mixed Martial Arts matches in PRIDE and also two MMA matches in Inoki Bom-Ba-Ye, but he didn't have such a notable career in MMA. He is one of the legends of K-1 and is respected by the K-1, and the karate and kickboxing communities.
