Mark P Allain was born in New Orleans, LA on November 11th, 1991. Immediately from birth people began to notice something different about the boy. Mark matured at a quick rate and was walking and talking by 9 months of age. In the fourth grade he first picked up the guitar but didn't begin "jamming" until early 2004 with his cousin and band mate Reid Chadwick. In the winter of 2004 Mark's father, Mark P Allain Sr, died of ALS a type of muscular dystrophy. Mark coped with the loss quite well and continued to write and produce his own music. Disaster struck again for Mark in the fall of 2005 when hurricane Katrina ravaged his home town and caused his and thousands of other families to move from their beloved New Orleans. Luckily for Mark, he relocated to Lafayette, LA with Reid Chadwick and Stanford Rosenthal and together they continued to push the boundaries of alternative folk music with their late 2005 release of "Inbred Babies", a touching narrative of a man and his sister. Four months later the boys returned to New Orleans and were welcomed home with loving arms. For the last few months Mark has been playing and creating music with his band Keefe Hecker's Black Socks and has grown fond of post-rock and alternative blues music. He is also known throughout the metropolitan area for associating himself with Myles Stolier, a red haired ball of testosterone and boy friend of Victoria Carriere.
