Rose Tyler is a young shop assistant in London who is attacked by mannequins and saved by the Doctor. A man called Clive tells her more about this mysterious man. All over London plastic is coming to life and killing people, controlled by the Nestene Consciousness. She helps him to defeat it, and becomes his companion.
