I often find I come across stuff whilst working in Wikipedia that I don't have time to deal with or that would distract me from whatever I'm doing at the time. This is just a collection of those some of those things. Please feel free to edit this as necessary.

[edit] Look at

[edit] Pages

  • Sherfield on Loddon needs a brief description
    • Basingstoke council has a large document on its villages (under its assets) to give some info
  • Transnistria has a number of administrative districts near the bottom. Those districtions and the capitals of each need to be setup in a common format and where it exists the wording needs some review.

[edit] Relgious categories etc

Started tiding up Category:Buddhist_temples so that the temples were split by country for all the countries. This could then fit the overall structure for religious buildings. However, the more I look the more areas for other religions/countries that are not setup correctly. The basic category layout is fine, its just that a lot of articles are not in a specific enough category which means they don't sit under the correct category higher up the strucutre.

  • Make sure the country's temples category feeds into Buddism in that country (or Religion in that country)
  • Category:Monasteries in the Palestine territories needs to feed into Places of worship in X, but not sure what X should really be
  • Category:Monasteries in Romania has churches as a sub category. Don't believe all churches are monastries
  • Category:Monasteries in the United Kingdom has England, Wales under it. Do these feed into Places of worship in England, Wales...
  • Category:Monasteries in the United Kingdom is also under an Abbeys category (unlike every other countries abbeys). Why?
  • Make sure the country's temples feed into Places of worship in country (and that category feeds into Category:Places of worship by country)
  • Places of worship should also feed into Buildings and structures for that country as well
  • Could look at Mosques and ensure we are being consistent across the two (and Christian churches, Shinto ...)
  • Category:Monasteries_by_country needs to be checked as well.
  • Christianity_by_country has some links to work off.
  • Category:Christianity_by_country needs sorting. Should have sub categories for each country which in turn picks up churches, ministers, christianity in xxx artciesl.
  • A number of the Churches in X categories have catherdrals in them, rather than in the cathedral sub category. This includes: China, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Pakistan, Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine.
  • There is a Places of worship in Palestine category. Is Palestine a country?
  • Need to check the position on the bulkan states especially the Serbia, Macedonia ones which are a bit mixed up. Make sure you understand the status of eacch country first though.
  • Category:Shinto_shrines is not split by country but would need to be to fit the pattern.
  • Category:Temples and shrines in Kyoto is feeding into Category:Buddhist temples in Japan when it includes non-Buddhist temples
  • Need to look at Category:Zen_temples which is under Category:Buddhist temples but is not split by category. Think this is a problem with Buddhist temples (which should be Buddhist temples by country).
  • Category:Islam_by_country has articles but not subcategories. Needs subcategories - these would inlcude Mosques and the subcategories would belong to "Category:Relgion in xx"
  • Make sure everything under Places of worship by country feeds in "Religion in X" and that that category exists
  • Under churches by country we have Serbia whilst under Mosques by country we have Serbia and Montenegro'
  • Roman_Catholicism_in_Kuwait has a box at the bottom with the whole of Asia. As far as Kuwait are now in "Religion in X", the rest need doing. After that other continents might need doing
  • Might be useful:
  • Get the clergy split by country and then feed these into higher categories. So far have done only Rabbis / Conservative
    • Have done a lot of work on Category:Roman Catholic priests. Need to finish. Once they are split the country categories need to feed into Category:Roman Catholics by country. That category might also need to be split by country.
    • Also need to check clergy by nationality feeds into people of country XXX (or whatever the right name is).
  • Look at Category:People_known_in_connection_with_religion_or_philosophy
  • Add Template:Fooian_fooers to the people categories

  • Add a sucession box for Luton Town Mangers (why am I writing about Football, I hate football) - starting with Dally_Duncan.

[edit] Pension Pages

  • Guaranteed Minimum Pension is still outstanding
  • UK Pension Provision needs some work
  • Actuary needs Non-US credentialing process filling in. See the talk page

Sign your messages with ~~~~

To prevent readers from getting your posts on talk pages mixed up with those of other users, be sure to sign your posts! When you edit a message, there is a row of square buttons at the top of the edit box. One of them looks like a signature: Image:Signature_icon.png. Click on it, and four tildes (~~~~) are inserted where the blinking cursor is. When you save the page, those are automatically converted into a link to your user page followed by a date stamp. You can also type in the 4 tildes manually. To sign without a date stamp, type in three tildes (~~~) instead.

Bonus tip: you can customize your signature in your preferences menu.
