There needs to be some mention here of how she was -censured- by the students and the faculty! Also the controversy involving the on-campus hotel... and weren't there some heads of engineering departments who quit in protest?

What was the "academic freedom" issue. I was at State at the time and don't recall it.

There should also be something about her recent controversy at UCSD regarding the sabatical time she acquired in North Carolina and that was dispensed to her, while student fees have increased over the past four years at UC. I would add it myself, but I have no sources (other than myself!)
