Talk:Marlboro College

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ACCURACY:

Two different dates are mentioned for the college's founding date. In the first paragraph, 1948 is mentioned, while in the second, 1946.

The official site, like the article now, has 1946 as the date. I'll remove the disputed accuracy tags. By the way, does anyone know where the college's name comes from? Was Marlboro a heavy sponsor? Did the GIs name it such for a love of the cigarettes? I, for one, would be interested to know. --BDD 00:58, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

The name of the college comes from the town of Marlboro, Vermont where the college is located.--Sweetpond 18:39, 3 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Note: the word "Alumni" refers to male and female former students of an educational institution, not just graduates. 129.55.27.4 21:52, 21 April 2006 (UTC)
