That's not how I understand it. He was terminated precisely because he did disclose company secrets. To be fair, he seems to have learnt his lesson now, but if he's notable for anything it's for having done something dumb that got him fired at the beginning of 2005. I have edited the page so it reflects more accurately what Jen actually did and added some detail. The previous version was rather pro-Jen, and from the blogging-is-special-and-should-be-above-normal-rules-on-sensible-communication school of thought that seems to be all too common on the internet. Jen chose to identify himself publicly with the company he worked for, and appoint himself as an unofficial company representative --- as he does now with his current blog and employer. Why anyone would want to do that is beyond me personally, but that's just me. If you choose to do that then you should expect your employer to hold you to account for what you write.
