[edit] Science?

Brassratgirl: I am impressed with your expansions to this article. I think that it is developing nicely. Why do you characterise Marine conservation as a science? I see it more as an application of science (like, say, agriculture). —Theo (Talk) 10:26, 26 August 2005 (UTC)

  • Thanks! As far as science or no, it's true that 'a new branch of science' is probably not accurate, but I don't think marine conservation is solely an applied science.. like conservation biology, it's both applied and theoretical (academic). I will change this to read 'discipline' until I figure out how to make it clearer. Thanks for your help! Brassratgirl 00:27, 10 September 2005 (UTC)
