Re: "It is never explained what happened to Marietta after she betrayed the D.A." Near the end of Order of the Phoenix, (final chapter), Cho walks by Harry's compartment on the train, "accompanied by Marietta Edgecombe, who was wearing a balaclava". Presumably, Madam Pomfrey has been unable (or unwilling?) to remove the word "SNEAK" from her face. --Jrv 21:14, 27 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Just a thought but perhaps Rowling borrowed the surname from Tom Hank's character Paul Edgecombe from The Green Mile, who killed his friend in an act of betrayal. Total speculation obviously. Andrew Graham

It is stated on this page that Marietta is a Ravenclaw, but there's little eveidence to back this up in the books. Granted, she's a friend of Cho Chang, and this would suggest that she was probably in Ravenclaw and in Cho's school year. Feel free to leave it, especially since we'll likely never hear from her again in the final book, but Ravenclaw is no guarantee. -- Supermorff 15:57, 26 August 2005 (UTC)
