[edit] picture caption
i don't like the picture caption. how about something like: 'Marcus Vick delivers a pass'.--Alhutch 22:46, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- You're entitled to your opinion, but Marcus Vick may end up being best remembered for his criminal record, rather than his athletic performances. Compare to OJ Simpson, where three out of the four pictures on the page are mugshots.

- my comment was in reference to a different picture.--Alhutch 18:46, 10 January 2006 (UTC)

O.J. Simpson was a great quarter back like Alhutch said. But when it comes down to it, Michael Vick is a great sportsman who never brags about being better than the best in his league. And Marcus has been in and out of prison, and will propably be remembered as the jerk who did stupid things that were entirely uncalled for. Terrell Owens was the best reciever in the league for a while. So i believe the picture should show him as a person who does what he does and not some guy warming up. Dan 12:09, 19 May 2006 (UTC)
Truthfully, Marcus Vick may be a criminal but because he throw a football we as fans care about what this kids future entails.
I don't think Marcus Vick's celebrity or worthiness of an entry in Wikipedia is based solely upon his misconduct. It wouldn't attract public attention if he weren't already a football player. I think he deserves a football picture, like other football players, at least in addition to a portrait photo. This is a living person, and in the long run, we don't know what the final judgement on him will be. I'm kind of surprised at the "jerk" comment, Dan. (By the way, Michael does brag.) Look, I went to a rival school, so if anyone doesn't have a vested interest in making Marcus look good, it's me. But Marcus deserves to be identified as a football player in at least one photo. [edit] Claims of having sex with underage girl
User 71.55.33.173 has at 4 times added the line: , having sex with a 15-year-old girl
I was looking around, and it seems he was alleged of it, but I do not see any site confirming it. I'm removing it for now, as it has just been repeatedly added by one user, but if anyone wants to check up on it some more and add a sentence, maybe about that it is alleged, that would be good. (That was me, hadn't logged in yet). Role 01:52, 29 April 2006 (UTC) Shut up with the editing!!! Don't remove parts of the article just beacause tyou're Google search didn't come up with anything! As it turns out, yeah he was. So why wouldn't you make sure you weren't killing a legitimate article?Dan
- I just found an ESPN article mentioning his being charged with sex with a 15-year-old girl: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?section=nfl&id=2427939 . Role 20:53, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Mugshot
I replaced the mugshot in the infobox with a photo of Vick under scrimmage. I looked through all of my photos and I'm sorry I don't have anything better of him ... but surely, plain human decency calls for not using his mugshot as the primary photo. BigDT 04:01, 1 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Main picture
Fricken jeez, someone take out that ugly shot. We're talking about Marcus here, not Virginia tech. Eesh.--Mynabull 20:46, 18 September 2006 (UTC)
