Marvel Comics is a line of American comic books published by Marvel Entertainment. Marvel's comics include Fantastic Four, The Amazing Spider-Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Daredevil, Captain America, and X-Men.
Civil War is Marvel Comics' summer 2006 crossover event, with a core limited series of the same name written by Mark Millar and penciled by Steve McNiven. The work builds upon themes and events established in previous Marvel events, particularly Avengers Disassembled and House of M. Some story elements are the result of the limited series Secret War.
Did you know?
- During the film, X-men, Logan mocks the X-Men's black uniforms, Cyclops replies: "What would you prefer? Yellow spandex?" This is a reference to the blue and yellow uniform Wolverine wore in the comics.
- When Nightcrawler attacks the Secret Service at the beginning of the movie,X-2 the "Dies Irae" from Mozart's Requiem plays.
- In X-Men: The Last Stand, Angel's wings were initially too heavy for Ben Foster, and were remade from foam.
- Spider-man - Both Peter Parker and Norman Osborn wear their enemy's costume colors during the Thanksgiving dinner scene, Harry Osborn is seen wearing all of the colors. He wears a green shirt, red tie and blue coat.
- Spider-man 2 - Tobey Maguire is a vegetarian. In the scene where Parker watches police cars go by, he is actually eating a tofu hot dog.
- "David Banner" is a reference to "Doctor David Bruce Banner" from the 1980s television series starring Bill Bixby. In the comics, Hulk's father was Brian Banner.
- Stan Lee, Daredevil's co-creator, makes a cameo appearance in the movie when he is stopped by young and blind Matt Murdock from walking in front of a speeding car.

Jean Grey/Phoenix: You would die for them? Wolverine: No, not for them. For you. For you. Jean Grey/Phoenix: Save me... Wolverine: I love you. [Logan stabs Jean through the chest and kills her, then cries out.]
