Marzuki Stevens

Marzuki Stevens (born February 16, 1974) is a professional long distance and marathon runner from Detroit, Michigan. Marzuki finished 5th American at the Chicago Marathon on October 10th, 2004, and 20th overall at the Boston Marathon, 2006. He has qualified for the 2008 Olympic Trials.

Marzuki Stevens is the brother of singer-songwriter Sufjan Stevens. He has appeared on two musical releases with his brother.

Marzuki graduated from Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts in 1996, and received his Master in Architecture degree from Graduate School of Design at Harvard in 2005. Between Williams and Harvard Marzuki spent several years teaching at a small progressive high-school in Williamstown called Buxton School. There he taught photography and architecture along with soccer and other things. While he was teaching his brother, Sufjan Stevens, recorded some of the songs from one of his early albums in the small building on campus. Marzuki recorded on some of Sufjan's albums.
