Maryland Route 7

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Maryland Route 7 is the former alignment of U.S. Route 40 from Baltimore to the state line with Delaware. The route was part of US 40 until Pulaski Highway was built and became the new US 40 in 1935. As a result of it being the older alignment of a newer route, MD 7 crosses back and forth across US 40, and exists in separate sections. The majority of the route is named Philadelphia Road.
