Mary White College

Mary White College is a residential college at the University of New England (UNE), Australia, established in 1956.
The College was named after Mary White of Saumarez, a member of the Advisory Council of the then New England University College from its inception in 1938 until her death in 1948.
The college is made up of 7 'blocks', with 1 female only block (the only one at UNE) and 6 co-ed blocks. It currently has about 190 resident students.
The college is involved in most extracurricular activities that UNE provides, including the Presidents Trophy UNE and Mary Bagnall Trophy Sports competitions and the Sir Frank Kitto Cultural Competition. The college also fields teams in club sports including hockey, netball, soccer and waterpolo.
This year on the sporting field Mary White dominated in PT Badminton and MB Waterpolo. Currently sitting 5th in both out of 9 the college has proven to be a thorn in the sides of many of its combatants this year. On the cultural field Mary white once again placed 5th in SFK with notable appearances in Public Speaking, Debating and the Art and Craft competitions.
