Mary Taylor is a certified public accountant and a politician from the Republican Party from the state of Ohio. Taylor currently sits in the Ohio House of Representatives. As of the November 2006 general election, Taylor is also the Ohio State Auditor-Elect, defeating Democratic candidate Barbara Sykes. Taylor, who is succeeding fellow Republican Betty Montgomery as State Auditor, will take office in January of 2007. She was the only Republican to be elected to a statwide non-judicial office during the 2006 election.
