Mary B. Wolf

Mary B.Wolf is the second female mayor of City of Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

During her second successful campaign for mayor, Wolf promised to be a "full-time Mayor." Prior to Wolf becoming mayor, she served for eight years on city council and at the time was a Dean at Lycoming College in Williamsport.

Mary Wolf beat incumbent Michael R. Rafferty for the Republican nomination for mayor despite Rafferty's being endorsed by the County Republican Party. Wolf lost her first election for mayor in 2000 when Mayor Steven W. Cappelli resigned to take his post in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Rafferty was elected and served two years, then being beaten in the primary by Mrs. Wolf.

Since Wolf was sworn into office, she has focused her administration on crime, and curfew related policies. Since then, she has cut the police department staff. Mary B. Wolf is currently in her first term as mayor of the City of Williamsport and faces re-election in 2007.

Wolf is married to Michael Wolf. Together, The Wolfs' have two grown children, Patrick, and Peggy.
