Mary, Did You Know?  is a modern Christmas carol, by Mark Lowry and Buddy Greene.

The song has been recorded by many diverse artists, including Clay Aiken, Reba McEntire, Michael Crawford, Natalie Cole, Kathy Mattea, Clay Walker, Hayley Westenra, Michael English and Kenny Rogers.

The lyrics to the song were originally written in 1984 by Mark Lowry as a monologue for an Advent musical. Six years later, Buddy Greene composed the music.
