Marvelous Bob

Marvelous Bob is a web-published story by Michael Buonauro based on the conventions of comic book superheroes, but with a distinctively realist, postmodern style. It is 13 chapters long, the final chapter uploaded the day before the author's suicide. The titular character is an individual with the powers of a superhero, but is an antihero in many ways: for instance, unlike most "heroes", he has no scruples about killing when necessary. The story has been taken off of Michael's website for work on the Michael Buonauro Foundation, which was created to help families of suicides cope with their relative's deaths.
