He signed for York City on August 31, 2006 from Unibond Premier League side Frickley Athletic for an undisclosed five-figure fee. He scored 14 goals for Frickley Athletic during his season with them.
He scored his first goal for York in the teams 3-2 home loss to Morecambe on September 12, 2006. He then went on to score Yorks goals in the 2-1 away victory over Woking on September 19, 2006.
