Marty Saybrooke

Margaret "Marty" Saybrooke Moody Thornhart, originally played by Susan Haskell, is a fictional character on the soap opera One Life To Live. She has had a brief history with Todd Manning. Todd had a one night stand with her, but she rejected him the next day. Todd still pursued her, but Marty did not give in to his advances. When Marty got drunk at a party, she was gang raped by Todd and two of his fraternity brothers, Zach Rosen and Powell Lord III. Marty eventually reported the rape and Todd was arrested along with Zach, Powell, and Kevin Buchanan (whom Marty mistakenly believed had also raped her). Placed on trial, Todd hired Nora Gannon to defend him. Nora believed in the innocence of Todd and the others, and was clearly winning the trial. Then another woman, Carol Swift, revealed that Todd had raped her as well. Disgusted, Nora intentionally caused a mistrial.

A furious Todd declared revenge on Marty. He cornered Marty and Luna Moody in an alley and threatened to rape both of them. Luna fought back and scarred Todd's face. Powell witnessed the incident and told the police. In addition, Marty managed to trick Todd into confessing to the rape, which she tape recorded. Todd was sent to jail, determined to get revenge on Marty, Nora and Powell (whom Todd would learn years later was his biological cousin).

Marty returned to Llanview, PA on November 17, 2006 (now played by Christina Chambers), as Cole Thornhart's mother.
