Martti Miettunen

Martti Miettunen (April 17, 1907, Simo – January 19, 2002, Kauniainen) was a politician in Finland. He was prime minister in 1961–1962 and 1975–1977.
He was a lawmaker in the Agrarian Party from 1945 to 1958, and was also Governor of the Province of Lapland from 1958 to 1973.
He died at the age of 94 in Kauniala military hospital near Helsinki in 2002.
Miettunen served as a cabinet minister for 4,300 days, the fourth-longest in Finnish political history. He was known also as President Urho Kekkonen's right-hand man.
