Martin Rice (born March 7, 1986 in Exeter, England) is a professional footballer with English Conference side Exeter City.

Rice, a goalkeeper, and product of Exeter's youth system made his first team debut on October 10, 2003 in a 3-2 loss to Barnet. During his first season at the senior level, Rice featured only briefly, making 7 appearances as the backup to James Bittner.

Rice however started the 2004–05 season as Exeter's first choice keeper, making 13 appearances, before being sent off on December 12, 2004 against Dag & Red. Recently acquired keeper Paul Jones, on loan from Leyton Orient, stepped in for the suspended Rice. Jones impressed his former youth coach, and current Exeter manager Alex Inglethorpe, enough to retain the starting position for the rest of the 2004–05 and 2005–06 season, restricting Rice to only 6 more appearances.

The arrival of current Exeter manager Paul Tisdale for 2006–07 season forced Jones to compete against Rice to retain his starting role. During the pre-season Rice was able to impress Tisdale enough to earn himself the role of Exeter's first choice keeper, forcing Jones to the bench.
